I try to drift off
But these demons of the dark
Still call out my name
not to quote a song, but so hauntingly familiar. It makes me think of a novel or an Austen character. – provokes a dark emotion so I would say- win. I am so glad you are sharing your writing (and painting!) with us! (novel next?) ;o)
One of the reasons that I have not shared my poetic verse in such a public way before is that, more often than not it comes from the dark places. With that, your comment is appreciated more than you know.
Thank you for you continuing to come here. 🙂
I recognize these demons. The images your words evoke stay with me for hours, even days, as they strike so deeply within my psyche. I know you are in a position of power now, but I can only imagine that you make an excellent therapist. You are my inspiration and my heroine. Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to see your painting, Renaissance Woman! *hugs* Dani
Awesome! I really like this one — speaks right to me.
